Lauren and Spencer

Over the years, I've filmed at least 100+ weddings, and just when I thought I'd seen it all, along came Lauren and Spencer. They hired us on relatively short notice after deciding to completely overhaul their original plans to organize a smaller, covid-safe wedding at Lauren's childhood home — with help from Dorotheea of Kamea Events and an amazing team of vendors (see list below). On what turned out to be a very smoky week, Lauren and Spencer's wedding had many "firsts" for me:

1. My first time ever seeing triple digits on the air quality index 🔥

2. First wedding where at least one person from every household got a COVID test before coming 🔬 (If any of you are reading this, THANK YOU! 🙏).

3. My first time seeing a bride land a fish in her wedding gown 🎣

I have a ton of respect for this couple's amazing attitude as they faced challenge after challenge. With so many factors outside of their control, they didn't let anything stop them from getting married, and celebrating (SAFELY) with their people. Be like Lauren and Spencer.
